So I wrote back a number of witty responses to you guys but the usacell or whatever cellphone data I was roaming on wouldn't stay up long enough for me to post the reply 
we hit the tequila route, didn't get raped by any prisoners or kidnapped by any gangs... ate really well. I met/shook hands with like 6 diez y ocho gang leaders though. A reporter there got shot/killed the day after we left.

they said when you took a taxi you just hoped that taxi driver had paid his war tax or you might get shot up too so there weren't any witnesses
